Fallout 76 / Lead

I recently found a way to get >750 lead scrap in 5 minutes. (~250 if you don't have Excavator Power Armor and lvl3 of Super Duper).

Lucky Hole Mine:

Expect to encounter spiders or radrats outside and inside, and Mole Miners inside as well. Nothing too challenging and not too many enemies.

It takes me ~4˝ minutes from fast traveling to Lucky Hole Mine, to being done and fast traveling back to my base. I probably missed a bunch of veins and I ran around most enemies. I was aiming for speed since 76 is grindy enough without wasting time on stuff like this.

Once inside the mine, you're looking for lead veins, which look like this:

Veins are found in various places (especially deeper in the mind), but you can reliably find four in each recess along the shafts like this:

Don't forget to check ceilings!

Deeper in the mine you'll also find crystal veins, which look similar to lead.

Once complete, smelt at a chemistry bench. 2 lead ore + 1 acid = 5 lead scrap. Use Super Duper while smelting to get ~30% more on average. Chemist doesn't help with smelting by the way.

Ok so apparently codx is only for Windows and like every server runs it now so I can't play with my mac anymore.

Gone were the old days...

Yo folks so I tried to jump onto the serves today but it told me that I need to download a patch manually but the patch said that it's for windows only. Can I still play on the servers using my dank Macbook Pro with its amazing multi touch trackpad?

Basically I need this:
but for Mac OS

Yeah Fallout has never been limited to one genre or narrow concept of gameplay, and Bethesda seems determined to make games they themselves want to play. They also don't just make more of the same, so 76 should offer something new. I also like that there's an emphasis on cooperative gameplay rather than PvP, although I bet mods will be available to shift that focus so we can do whatever we want with it once private server functionality is released.

The only reason Fallout successfully got me interested in RPGs is that it's a shooter. I just have zero interest in fantasy medieval settings, and hand/melee combat. It's a unique franchise with a unique sci-fi backstory. Still, I'm glad there are elements of fantasy and other types of combat since that allows Fallout to cast a wider net so it can have a diverse player base. For all I know, 76 could totally bomb, but I don't care. If it's fun, I'll play the hell out of it.

I started with FO4 and later played FO3. The graphical difference between them is incredible and i can't wait to see how FO76 looks. You can do anything and become any type of persona in the fallout world. It's going to be interesting to see how 76 developes into the community in general. I'm excited. I just hope i have time to play it lol. New job and 2 kids doesn't leave much time for myself anymore.

I do agree that this could very well be the next big thing for us here. It's what we're about. Community building, exploration and adventure. I can't wait.

So I've had a lot of time lately, while my hands are busy holding bottles and changing diapers, to watch videos. This has given me some time to learn more about Fallout 76, the first multiplayer Fallout game ever. Now Fallout easily is my favorite single-player game franchise, although I only started with Fallout 3 and haven't played the earlier titles. I'm drawn in above all else by the sense of possibility that comes with open-world, nonlinear gameplay and exploration, along with the idea that the player can have a real impact on the game world. That freedom of discovery is about as close to multiplayer as Fallout could be, until now.

Fallout 76 was announced May 30th:

Yep, I've wanted the even greater emergent gameplay possibilities of multiplayer in Fallout for a long time. Yet there are a lot of questions to answer. How well can Fallout really translate when accommodating 24+ players per map, especially with systems like VATS that seem bound to a single player's experience of time, and the emphasis on NPC and story writing and development. This and many other questions won't be answered until some time after FO76 is released, but some are being answered now and I think this game holds great promise.

Bethesda's E3 2018 Fallout 76 Gameplay Presentation:

This for me is a return to excitement in multiplayer gaming. I still enjoy CoD4 and Minecraft, and this is the third in that short list of multiplayer titles in the past decade that have really excited me. Regenesis has been involved in many others: other Call of Duty games, various Battlefield and Counter Strike titles, ESO, and some less popular titles that didn't last long here (or in general haha). This is the first multiplayer game to come along since Minecraft where I can say I don't care what anyone else does, I'm playing it. Oh, and it looks like there will be dedicated servers…

Here's a nicely produced documentary on the making of the game by NOCLIP:

So I think now is a good time to bust out Fallout 3, 4, New Vegas … or maybe just play through all of them. :P I currently have a Fallout 4 playthrough in-progress (though I'm not progressing fast haha), and hope to rekindle some Fallout discussion here in our forums. Because I think Fallout should be the next big Regenesis thing. I have a feeling this is going to be a wicked fun game, and I'm excited for the possible community we can build around it here at Regenesis.
